1. How long have you been a part of The River?

We started attending in 2013 and immediately felt at home.

2. Where did you grow up?

I was born in Boone county IN. My father was transferred to this area when I was eight years old and my family moved to New Haven, IN. I lived there with my parents until I fell in love and married Dave, we then moved to Fort Wayne.

3. What does your position entail?

I am the administrative assistant. I assist the pastors and prepare the building and materials needed for Sunday morning worship and special events. I am also part of the Welcome Team.

4. What do you love most about The River?

I love the Bible teaching, concern for the lost, and the actions taken to reach those who are seeking. I love that coming to The River feels like going to grandma’s house, always smiling faces, hugs from loved ones, and the genuineness of my sisters and brothers in Christ.

5. What do you like to do during your free time?

I enjoy spending time with my family. Watching grandkids play football & soccer. Seeing dance recitals, and babysitting the little ones. On sunny summer days I enjoy going on long rides with Dave in our Mustang convertible.

6. What is something people would be surprised to learn about you?

I use to work at a radio station.

7. What is your favorite scripture?

I have several favorite verses:

1 Corinthians 13:13 —“And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love.”

Romans 8:38-39 — “For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.”

Psalms 23 — “The Lord is my shepherd, I lack nothing. He makes me lie down in green pastures, he leads me beside quiet waters, he refreshes my soul. He guides me along the right paths for his name’s sake. Even though I walk through the darkest valley, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me. You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies. You anoint my head with oil; my cup overflows. Surely your goodness and love will follow me all the days of my life, and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever.”
