1. How long have you been a part of The River?

Mark and I began The River in March of 2006, but the desire to start a new church had been on our hearts and minds for several months before our first official Sunday!

2. Where did you grow up?

I grew up in southern Indiana in the historic town of Madison.

3. What does your position entail?

My position includes communicating prayer needs and updates to our team, emphasizing prayer opportunities in a variety of ways, and being Mark’s most enthusiastic cheerleader. During the week, I am a teacher who loves supporting students and other teachers.

4. What do you love most about The River?

What I love most about The River is the culture of grace interwoven with truth that is present in our gatherings. Our church family is a collection of broken people who have been put back together by Jesus, which means we deeply appreciate the gift of God’s grace in our lives.

5. What do you like to do during your free time?

My free time is usually occupied with drinking coffee on the porch with our pets, reading or watching movies, or - my favorite- hanging out with Mark and our adult kids and grandkids!

6. What is something people would be surprised to learn about you?

It has not always been this way, but the last several years I have
enjoyed change! I used to avoid the idea of change as much as I could, but I have learned to embrace and really enjoy the opportunities that change can bring!

7. What is your favorite scripture?

2 Chronicles 16:9 — For the eyes of the Lord range throughout the earth to strengthen those whose hearts are fully committed to Him.

This verse has always been one of my favorites!
